NHTSA Complaint #11591090 — 2018 HONDA CR-V

The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that on several occasions while attempting to accelerate to highway speeds, the vehicle hesitated. The engine block symbol was illuminated and blinking. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that an engine replacement was needed due to head gasket failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to two independent mechanics, who stated the failure was due to the turbo charger. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 84,333.
