NHTSA Complaint #11587991 — 2018 FORD F-150

Ford has a known motor defect with 2018-2020 F150 pickups with coyote engine. In my case at 57k miles dealer determined I need a new engine due to this oil consumption issue caused by the costing they sprayed on the motor cylinders. Searching the internet thousands of this model have same issue and ford refuses to recall it. In fact I am having issues even getting Ford to cover it under warranty. While I jave not experienced a safety issue yet, if the motor seizes while on the highway it is highly likely to cause a safety risk. Fords fix as indicated by attachment is to extend the dipstick so you put additional oil(takes 10 qts by default so requiring more) to hide the issue from consumers. Their goal for sure is to hide the issue from consumers until out if warranty.
