The contact owns a 2024 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 10 MPH, the vehicle started to shake and then lunged forward. The contact parked the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to shift into reverse. The contact stated that when the vehicle was shifted into reverse, the vehicle was shaking and lunging forward. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 43,000.
