Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact stated that there was a rattling sound coming from the hood that had gotten worse over time. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the cam phasers needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
