Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2016 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated that while driving at various highway speeds, the message "Check Power Steering" was displayed, and the steering wheel became stiff and very difficult to turn in either direction. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V850000 (Steering). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The local dealer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 96,000.
