NHTSA Complaint #11580858 — 2014 FORD FUSION

The contact's partner owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving at slower speeds, the vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that on one occasion while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle stalled while depressing the accelerator pedal to the floorboard. The contact stated that the transmission eventually re-engaged, and the contact drove the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer performed a diagnostic test and informed the contact that the transmission had failed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that there were no recalls or warranties on the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired and remained with the dealer. The failure mileage was unknown.
