Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while her son was driving 30 MPH, while depressing on the accelerator pedal the vehicle failed to respond as needed. The contact merged to the side of the road. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was towed by an insurance vendor to the Sam's Auto Repair. The vehicle was then towed to the dealership where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 221,478.
