NHTSA Complaint #11578283 — 2020 FORD ESCAPE

The contact owns a 2020 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while entering the vehicle, there was an abnormal popping sound emanating from the door hinge, after which the door was not flush with the body of the vehicle while closed. The door ajar warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to Technical Service Bulletin: SSM 50150. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 31,000.
