The contact contacted several Ford dealers and inquired about the replacement of the oil pan and was informed that the part was unavailable. The oil pan had been out of stock for two years. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
