NHTSA Complaint #11566306 — 2023 HONDA HR-V

The contact's wife owns a 2023 Honda HR-V. The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 20-25 MPH with his son in the front passenger's side seat, the rear windshield imploded inadvertently. There was no injury sustained. The contact stated that his wife drove back to the nearby residence. The contact stated that the defroster was not engaged at the time of the failure. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle could not be repaired under the warranty. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
