NHTSA Complaint #11586520 — 2023 HONDA HR-V

The contact owns a 2023 Honda HR-V. The contact heard a loud pop and became aware that the rear windshield had shattered. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that there were no signs of an impact that could have caused the damage to the windshield. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 46,000.
