NHTSA Complaint #11566110 — 2013 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, there was a burning odor inside the vehicle, and there was smoke coming from underneath the hood of the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the connect point between the oil lines and the turbocharger was clogged and corroded. The mechanic referred the contact to the local dealer for repair assistance. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the same assessment was made. The vehicle was being repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.
