Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD F-150. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTED AND STALLED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NIELSON FORD (375 NJ-23, SUSSEX, NJ 07461, (973) 702-8000) MULTIPLE TIMES, BUT NO DIAGNOSTIC FAILURE CODES WERE FOUND AND THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND CONTINUED TO DOWNSHIFT AND STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO NIELSON FORD WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE LEAD FRAME ASSEMBLY AND SLEEVES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND CONFIRMED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO CONTACT NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000. *TT *TR
