NHTSA Complaint #11563301 — 2014 DODGE DART

The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that while attempting to park the vehicle in the driveway, the gear shifter was shifted into park(P), but the vehicle failed to respond and started reversing. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact shifted into drive(D); however, the vehicle failed to respond and made an abnormal grinding sound. The contact then shifted into park(P); however, the vehicle started reversing. The contact stated that the parking brake was engaged, and the vehicle responded as needed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
