The contact owns a 2018 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while the vehicle was idling, the temperature gauge increased rose to an elevated level. The contact stated that the vehicle was losing coolant. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that there was coolant and water intrusion in cylinder #3, which caused the engine failure. The mechanic informed the contact that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified about the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48,800.
