NHTSA Complaint #11557490 — 2016 RAM 1500

The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 25–35 MPH, the vehicle lost power steering functionality. The contact was able to drive the vehicle to the residence. The contact stated that an unknown warning light was illuminated after the failure. The contact called the local dealer and was informed that a diagnostic test was needed; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that failure was related to NHTSA Action Number: RQ23003(Steering). The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
