Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shuddered abnormally. Additionally, the vehicle lost motive power after coming to a complete stop. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined that the throttle body needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 123,000.
