Consumer Description

The contact's husband owns a 2020 Ford Escape. The contact stated that after the vehicle was turned off, the contact opened the door and heard an abnormal clunking sound coming from the door. Additionally, the contact stated that while parked the door was unlatched and swung open inadvertently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the door welds and spot welds needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 22,600.
