Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that while driving at 30 MPH, the vehicle began to jerk, and the vehicle lost motive power. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the powertrain control module. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 93,000.
