The contact owns a 2013 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that while reversing, the backup camera display screen turned black and there was no image displayed. The contact stated that the failure caused a visibility hazard for the driver. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 141,000.
