Consumer Description

FRONT PASSENGER SIDE BRAKE LINE FAILED WHEN DRIVING DOWN A RURAL HIGHWAY. THE LINE FAILED JUST BELOW THE INBOARD FITTING. OBVIOUSLY LOSING THE BRAKES PUT ME AND MY FAMILY IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION. LUCKILY WE WERE ABLE TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO A STOP IN A NEAR BY DOT YARD. THIS HAPPENED AT NIGHT SO WE SLEPT IN THE DOT YARD. WE WERE ABLE TO FIND A REPLACEMENT LINE IN A NEAR BY TOWN AND GET IT REPAIRED THE NEXT MORNING. I INSPECTED THE DRIVERS SIDE LINE AND FOUND A BULDGE IN THE SAME LOCATION. I HAVE REPLACED THAT LINE AS WELL. I HAVE SAVED THE LINES INCASE SOMEONE WOULD LIKE TO INSPECT THEM. I DID NOT NOTICE ANY SYMPTOMS PROIR TO THE FAILURE. THE ONLY WARNING LAMP OR MESSAGE I RECEIVED WAS AFTER I HAD LOST SOME BRAKE FLUID.
