Consumer Description

Ongoing issue with transmission. Original incident was loss of acceleration at on-ramp to highway. Continued driving, no repeatable issue. Later code P1778 with intermittent hesitation after idle-stop in traffic. Ordered replacement “stepper motor”. Tried changing transmission fluid, filters, “stepper motor,” oil cooler flush. Now vehicle does not go into reverse and _continuously_ hesitates after idle-stop in traffic. Consistent hesitation after stopping causes other drivers to tailgate, swerve and become obscene. Problem has not yet been observed or confirmed by dealer. Component has not yet been inspected by police, manufacturer or insurance representative. There was no warning light before the initial failure.
