NHTSA Complaint #11524019 — 2013 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY

The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled without warning, after driving over a bump in the roadway and while coming to an abrupt stop. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer however, the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to the ignition switch which would cause the vehicle to turn off inadvertently upon the slightest movement of the key while in the ignition. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 102,000.
