Consumer Description
March, 2022 - Replaced battery, vehicle died and wouldn't turn on. May, 2022 - Washing vehicle, electrical dash clusters, where gas and speed gauge is, and music screen in the center, horn, and start button started going haywire. We were still able to drive home, however, while driving all electrical went black. We were not able to tell the speed we were going, use blinkers or hazard lights. Once we got home, the start engine button wouldn't turn off the engine, was flickering on and off. We ended up pulling a fuse that turned off the engine. May, 2022 - A mechanic diagnosed BCM has severe corrosion inside circuitry. June, 2022 - took to Dodge to get replaced. October, 2022 - BCM was replaced. February, 2023 - Check engine code to replace thermostat. Thermostat was replaced. February, 2023 - washed jeep, back wiper blade started going off while vehicle was turned off. Later that night while driving, dash clusters, music screen, lights, wiper blades, blinkers, started going haywire. We got home, turned the vehicle off, and it wouldn't turn back on. Then, got it towed to Dodge Dealership to check BCM. February, 2023 - May, 2023 - Dodge Dealership diagnosed that the front windshield had a leak and the battery needed to be replaced, wasn't holding charge. Had them replace a new battery in May. Technician also stated that he could tell there was water intrusion in the connector to the BCM. May 17, 2023 - took the vehicle to Windshield place to get repaired, they poured water on the windshield and wasn't able to find the leak. The vehicle died at the shop Then, had the original mechanic run another diagnostic on the vehicle and conclusions that there was a water leak in the front windshield, causing the 59 Pin Electrical connector to corrode. The parts for the connector are $10,000.00
