Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while shifted into reverse, the brake pedal was depressed, and the contact heard a loud abnormal sound coming from the brakes. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake pads needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the rear brake pad issue was a known issue, but no assistance was provided. The contact was transferred to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
