Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH, the brake warning light illuminated intermittently, and shortly afterwards, the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) activated independently. The contact stated he was able to continue driving to his destination. The contact also stated he had experienced the same failure on 5/18/2023. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer and made the dealer aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000. The VIN was not available.
