Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph, the collision avoidance system suddenly activated causing the vehicle to abruptly stop. The contact indicated that no other vehicles or objects were nearby to cause the collision avoidance system to activate. During the incident, the contact sustained injuries to both shoulders and head and neck injuries. No medical treatment was required. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 64,000.
