Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the Forward Collision Avoidance braking system erroneously activated causing the vehicle to abruptly stop. The contact indicated that the failure had occurred on multiple occasions. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer were the computer software was updated; however, the failure persisted. There was no further information available. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 150,000.
