NHTSA Complaint #11521650 — 2016 FORD EDGE

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced rough starting and upon inspection it was discovered that the engine coolant was low. Later while driving, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed that there was coolant intrusion inside cylinder #1, and the engine might need to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 54,000.
