Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2016 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle made an abnormal sound. The contact veered to the side of the road before the vehicle ceased. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and continued driving to his residence at low speed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 131,000.
