Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while stopped at a traffic light, the vehicle made an abnormal sound. Additionally, the contact stated there was smoke coming from the engine compartment. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V731000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.
