NHTSA Complaint #11511164 — 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle erroneously shifted into neutral while driving. While the vehicle was parked with the gear shifter in the park, the vehicle inadvertently moved. The service shifter warning light was illuminated. The contact called the local dealer and was informed that the vehicle was previously repaired under recall. There was no warranty coverage. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V240000 (Power Train). The approximate failure mileage was 118,400.
