Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the ABS warning light illuminated and he heard an abnormal sound underneath the vehicle. The contact stated that the front axle fractured, and the front passenger’s side wheel detached. As a result of the failure, the vehicle started to slide. The contact engaged the parking brake to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the tow lot where it remained. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 118,000.
