NHTSA Complaint #11502786 — 2014 RAM 1500

The contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500. The contact stated while reversing out a driveway, while accelerating the vehicle lost motive power with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact turned off the vehicle and while restarting the vehicle, the vehicle was running rough. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was informed that the vehicle had experienced similar failure as NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V475000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) and referred the contact to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V475000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The failure mileage was 127,000.
