The contact had self-diagnosed the failure as a loosened wire connected to the blower resister connector wiring harness that caused a short circuit. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent but had become a recurring failure. The vehicle had not been taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 154,752.
