Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2017 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the hood was shaking. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V932000 (Structure, Latches/Locks/Linkages). The dealer performed the recall repair by replacing the hood latch striker. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer informed the contact that the vehicle had previously been serviced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V932000 (Structure, Latches/Locks/Linkages). The failure mileage was approximately 89,000.
