The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration and lost motive power with the transmission warning light illuminated. Additionally, the transmission failed to recognize the intended gear and the vehicle experienced a loss of power steering. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure.
