Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact stated that upon a cold start of the vehicle, a large amount of white or a dark blue colored smoke was coming from the exhaust tip. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where a diagnostic test showed that a tube that feeds the oil to the turbo was defective. Upon investigation, the contact discovered TSB#19-2188, which he linked to the failure. The contact was given an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 69,000.
