NHTSA Complaint #11482045 — 2016 FORD FUSION

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the vehicle decelerated independently. There was no warning light illuminated. The accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to respond. The contact’s husband was able to pull into the driveway. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000. The contact also owns a Ford Escape with the same transmission issues.
