Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at approximately 60 MPH, he heard a strange whining noise then the vehicle inadvertently started to shutter, shake, and vibrated. The contact also stated that the RPM increased and was stuck. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the CVT transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 102,000.
