Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 MPH, the engine temperature gauge indicated that the engine was overheating. The vehicle was later driven to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the engine was damaged due to a faulty internal water pump which had caused coolant to mix with the engine oil. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 117,000.
