Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Veloster. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with faulty cylinders. The dealer informed the contact that the engine needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V204000 (Electrical System, Engine) however, the failure was not related to the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
