Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2017 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the Forward Collision Avoidance system activated and the message “BRAKE” was displayed before the vehicle stopped. During the failure, no other vehicles or objects were nearby to cause the system to activate. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure but a diagnostic test was not performed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 29,000.
