Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2018 Ford Escape. The contact stated that her husband was driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to pass another vehicle, the accelerator pedal was depressed and he saw smoke coming from the rear of the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the engine replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 52,550.
