Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2015 GMC Terrain. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 MPH, the driver’s side windshield wiper became inoperable. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed with windshield wiper module failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The manufacturer suggested that the wiper modules be replaced. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number 22V165000 (Visibility) for which the VIN was included. The approximate failure mileage was 118,400.
