Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to turn off as needed. The check engine warning light was illuminated. While driving, the engine was sputtering. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the battery module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.
