Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at the independent mechanic for an oil change, a strange noise was coming from the rear of the vehicle. The mechanic diagnosed the vehicle with a faulty carrier bearing and the rear differential needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that they would not reimburse since the repairs were not performed at the dealer. The failure mileage was 57,492.
