NHTSA Complaint #11430605 — 2015 FORD ESCAPE

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle the instrument cluster screen was inoperable and the driver was unable to view safety related information regarding the tire pressure monitoring system and air bag warnings. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed that the instrument cluster display needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was included in the NHTSA campaign number 15V406000 (Electrical system). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 77,000.
