NHTSA Complaint #11419153 — 2006 FORD FUSION

The contact owns a 2006 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the brake pedal would depress to the floorboard without warning. The contact had the brake master cylinder replaced by an independent mechanic however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the air bag warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact received notifications for NHTSA campaign numbers: 19V904000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) and 21V158000 (Air Bags) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the parts were not yet available. The contact then called Century Ford of Mt. Airy (302 Century Dr, Mt Airy, MD 21771) where she was informed that part could be ordered. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair.
