NHTSA Complaint #11417900 — 2007 HYUNDAI VERACRUZ

The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Veracruz. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V705000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that after parking the vehicle, he noticed there was an unknown fluid on the ground. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed as an engine oil leak. The mechanic informed the contact of an unknown recall. The independent mechanic performed a tune-up on the plugs and replaced the valve cover gasket. The vehicle was also taken to the dealer for the serpentine belt and alternator replacement. The dealer was made aware of the recall and informed the contact that the remedy was not yet available.
